Following the band’s outstanding victory at the L&SC Area Contest, they have achieved the highest ranking in their history on both 4barsrest.com and BrassStats.com, two websites which track contest results achieved by bands around the globe to keep an up-to-date record of how they compare with their peers. Whilst sometimes controversial, both of these methods reward bands who regularly contest and achieve good results against “higher-ranked” bands in contest situations.
On the 4barsrest.com ranking of the top 200 bands, Regent Brass moved up 81 places to 79th place globally and 4th overall in the L&SC Region. On the BrassStats.com top 100 ranking, the band moved up 40 places to sit in 47th place globally and 3rd in the region.
