On the 1st June, the band headed up north to Saddleworth and Tameside for their annual trip to the Whit Friday march contests. This event has become a staple of the bands’ calendar and is an event that the members really enjoy, with this year being no exception. Performing the contest march “O.R.B” (Oldham Rifle Brigade) by Charles Anderson, the band picked up a very consistent set of results at all 6 contests they attended and also entertained the crowds a great deal playing Stevie Wonder’s “Sir Duke” going down the street!

The band would like to thank the friends who deputised and played with us at this event.
