Masters Retrospective
For the first time in their 28-year history, Regent Brass travelled to the Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering on the 26th May to compete at the All-England International Masters contest. Performing the set work “A Kensington Concerto” by Eric Ball, the band pitted their skills against 20 elite bands from the UK, Denmark and Belgium for a prize pot of £6,250. Whit Friday 2013
Regent Community Brass made the pligrimmage north to the Whit Friday march contests in Saddleworth and Tameside on 24th May. For many of the players, this was their first experience of this iconic event and the band, conducted by Regent Brass founder Paul Fensom, performed the march “Sons of the Brave” at an impressive 10 different contests picking up several very creditable results.
