The band made the trip to Twickenham on 14th December to perform at “Festive Brass”, their annual concert with the Richmond Youth Brass Band and Fulham Brass Band. The evening saw a very receptive audience turn out to hear the bands perform a mix of music and in particular highlighted the development of the young musicians at the Richmond Youth Brass Band, which is directed by Vickie Curran who is Regent Brass’ Flugelhorn player.
Regent performed in the second half of the concert with a programme of “The Spirit of Christmas” by Peter Graham, “Rocking Carol” featuring principal cornet Barbara King, “On a Mission from God” by the band’s baritone player Phil Doe, “Candlelight Carol” by John Rutter, “Children of Sanchez” featuring Vickie Curran and Leroy Anderson’s “Christmas Festival”.
