Regent Brass are a British Brass Band, based at Chalk Farm, North London. Musical Director is Alan Duguid, and the band is currently in Section 1 of the National Grading Tables. We rehearse on Thursdays from 1930, at the Salvation Army church, Chalk Farm, NW3 2BL.

Regent Community Brass

Regent Community Brass was formed in May 2012 to provide an outlet for local musicians, both young and old, to get involved in playing with a brass band. The band rehearses on Tuesdays from 1930, at the Church of the Ascension, Wembley. The band competes in Section 3 of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.

BBC Young Musician Category Finalist!

Regent Brass would like to say a very big Congratulations to Principal Cornet William Thomas on getting through to the Category Finals of the BBC Young Musician 2014. To progress from the first round in September, William had to pay an 8 minute programme.  25 players were chosen from this round to go through to the Brass Category Auditions.  For this round William played repertoire by Leonard Bernstien and Eugene Bozza on Trumpet, and Dvorak’s Russalka’s song to the Moon…

Successful Concert at Church of the Ascension

On Friday 6th December, Regent Brass hosted their annual Christmas concert at the Church of the Ascension in Wembley. This event has become a real highlight of the band’s concert schedule, providing an opportunity to perform at their “home turf” as the church also provides the rehearsal facilities for both Regent brass bands. Also performing at the concert were pianist Graeme Thewlis, who performed George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with the band in 2012, and soprano Tracy King with her accompanist Li Lin Teoh, who is a regular performer at these events.
