Regent Brass are a British Brass Band, based at Chalk Farm, North London. Musical Director is Alan Duguid, and the band is currently in Section 1 of the National Grading Tables. We rehearse on Thursdays from 1930, at the Salvation Army church, Chalk Farm, NW3 2BL.

Regent Community Brass

Regent Community Brass was formed in May 2012 to provide an outlet for local musicians, both young and old, to get involved in playing with a brass band. The band rehearses on Tuesdays from 1930, at the Church of the Ascension, Wembley. The band competes in Section 3 of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.

Successful CD Recording Weekend

On the 12th, 13th and 14th October, Regent Brass had a wonderful time recording tracks for two CD’s which are due to be released at the end of the year. The first is a recording by the band’s Solo Trombonist, Tetsuro Okamura, and features a range of great solos accompanied by the band. This CD was made possible by Tetsu winning the “Best Soloist” prize at the Dover Contest in Feburary, which included a recording contract with Clovelly Recordings. We…

After weeks of rehearsals, Regent Brass hit the “studio” this weekend to record not one, but two CD’s! As part of the prize for winning the Solo prize at DFDS contest in February this year, Solo Trombone Player Tetsuro Okamuro won studio time as part of the prize.  Tetsuro was keen to record some solos with band so the project has expanded to recording a Solo CD for Tetsuro, and the bands next CD. Crawley Contest Success

Regent Brass and Regent Community Brass both had a very enjoyable and productive day at the SCABA Autumn Contest on 30th September, held at The Hawth theatre in Crawley. For RCB it was their first contest outing, having only formed in June, and the band competed in the Second Section performing the recently revised version of “Variations on Laudate Dominum” by Edward Gregson. Debut Performance for Regent Community Band

The 9th September saw the very first public performance by Regent Community Brass, which was launched earlier this year. The band took part in the “Bandstand Marathon”, a nationwide event on the same day to get performers to use bandstands across the country.
