Happy New Year from all of us at Regent!
2019 sees a remarkable double promotion for our bands.
Just two short years after relegation, Regent Brass is delighted to once again be at London’s ‘top table of banding’ as we take our place in the London & Southern Counties Championship section. The band is looking forward to the stern challenge of Ray Steadman-Allen’s ‘Seascapes’ which is the set test in the contest.
Also, just two years after relegation, Regent Community Brass is thrilled to be returning to the third section contest. First and second places at the last two regional contests saw the huge determination of RCB to gain promotion, and the talent in its ranks. They face the challenge of Gustav Holst’s ‘First Suite in Eb’.
The contest weekend is on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March, at the Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre. The First and Third section contests are on the Saturday, and the Championship, Second and Fourth sections take place on the Sunday.
