Regent Brass are making a welcome return to the Scottish Brass Band festival at Perth Concert Hall this weekend.

The band is taking part in the Scottish Challenge trophy contest which is being held on Sunday 28th November. An open contest for bands in sections 1-4, this will be a good challenge for the band as we make a return to the contest stage after a two and half year hiatus caused by the pandemic.

We are proud to welcome a batch of new players into our ranks who have joined us over the last few months. We welcome Natasha FretwellJohn Mowle and Ted Riley to our cornet bench, Peter Desmond into our Flugel Horn hotseat, Jacob Coton and Zara Brooks on our trombone bench, with Dan Johnstone joining the band on Bass Trombone.

The band is also proud to welcome two new former members from the VBS Poynton Band stable. Joining us on Principal euphonium is Sam Noden, whilst on Eb tuba we welcome Tom Nickless.

Additionally our Eb tuba line has been further enhanced with the arrival of Emily Peart.

A huge welcome to the Regent family to all of you, and we hope that you will enjoy your first contest with us as we head north of the border!
