Regent Community Brass made the pligrimmage north to the Whit Friday march contests in Saddleworth and Tameside on 24th May. For many of the players, this was their first experience of this iconic event and the band, conducted by Regent Brass founder Paul Fensom, performed the march “Sons of the Brave” at an impressive 10 different contests picking up several very creditable results.
The band would like to extend their thanks to Paul for his expert direction, the many guests who performed with us at the contests and RCB’s Solo Horn player, Jennifer Wilkinson, who worked tirelessly to organise the trip. All at the band now are already looking forward to next year’s outing!
